Our Program and Goals
The most important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners.  This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts.  Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners.  This is achieved in many ways, including:

• Christian Education with Spiritual Enrichment
• Development of Language, Pre-Math, Pre-Reading Science, and Social Skills
• Small group work and individual learning centers
• Physical Development and Play
• Music Exploration 
• Arts & Crafts
• Field Trips
• Nutritious Snacks

Our Teacher/Director
Mrs. Kim Ferrell became a part of our program in 2001 as a parent of a student, and then joined the staff in 2002.  She is a WA state certified teacher and can be found in the Deer Park schools working as a substitute teacher when she is not teaching at the preschool or handling preschool business.  Ms. Kim lives in Deer Park with her husband, her 3 children (all former preschool students) and their ever growing number of pets!

Our Classroom Helpers
We are proud to welcome to our staff two wonderful ladies,

Mrs. Chaundra Champagne and Mrs. Cindy Meyers!

Miss Chaundra will be working with our Pre-Kindergarten class beginning in Sept. 2011. She has previous experience  in the classroom as a substitute para-educator in the Deer Park School District, and tons of experience working with children from the 5 she has at home!

Miss Cindy will be working with our youngest students in the Preschool class beginning in Sept. 2011. She too has experience in the classroom as a para-educator in the Riverside School District, and as a mom. Congratulations to her and her daughter as they begin the college experience together this fall!

Our School Board
Members of Faith Lutheran Church graciously volunteer their time for the benefit of our school.  The Board holds regular meetings to conduct the business side of school operations.  Through gracious gifts from the church congregation, the school is able to offer tuition prices that only include the cost of supplies and staff salary.

All staff members are trained in First Aid/CPR and have periodic background checks through the state of Washington.  All classroom volunteers must submit to a WA state background check.

About our Name
With the blessing of our Heavenly Father, Faith Lutheran Church opened this preschool in the fall of 1987, under the name of Precious Moments Preschool, in reference to the precious moments that occur in the lives of little children.  In the summer of 2008, due to continuing legal pressure from Precious Moments Inc., we changed our name to Precious Little Lambs Preschool. 

While we do not feel that we have ever misled the public into thinking we were anything but a Christian preschool, we do not have the means nor the time to fight such a large corporation. 

We still believe that the lives of all children are precious and that we are all lambs of God, therefore the name Precious Little Lambs Preschool was chosen.

We are the longest running established private preschool in Deer Park, and our commitment to quality education for small children has not, and will not change.
